What 2009 May Hold In Store

Posted by heatherrast on January 1st, 2009

The month of December has been a whirlwind for me and while I’ve had some time to read or scan some 2009 prediction posts crafted by others, I haven’t had the opportunity (nor inclination, if I’m honest!) to consider creating my own.

So this seemed like an appropriate moment to share the links I’ve gathered and serve as a ‘2009 Prediction Aggregator’ (and in a few cases, 2008 year-in-review) of sorts.  All are tagged “2009Predictions” in Delicious under my username, rast5.

Enjoy, and please add your own in the comments section. If I missed anyone, it’s simply because I didn’t stumble upon your post or missed a tweet about it.

My thanks to the authors for their thoughts and insights and ideas.  Wouldn’t it be fun to revisit these in late December 2009 and evaluate how the predictions fared?

Links are in no particular order.

  2. Great info! Keyword Clouds weren’t helpful though as who’s got the time to work them all out? Much prefer the “bulleted” lists. Interesting input from the contributors.

  3. Thank you for the link, Heather. I’m honored to be in such great company! One link I would add is Sarah Perez at ReadWriteWeb. She had some very practical insights about ‘09.

  5. Hey there Heather,

My humblest thanks for including me in this list – there are some great names there and to even be considered a place beside them is honour enough.

You’ve also introduced me to some people I didn’t know about, which is always nice.

Thanks again, and hopefully I can keep writing stuff that you might find enjoyable enough to keep reading. :)

    Cheers,

    Danny.

Hi, Danny! I’m so glad to have had your post to include on the list. You have great things to say and a lot of people to listen. This post can be a “one stop shop” for those trying to anticipate and plan for 2009, so I thank YOU for the thought work!
